about
"Don't Bring Me Down" was the first song played together by The Kevins, first being jammed in January of 2016. It's a rocking Post-Punk song with layered guitars, and a dance-able beat. It's pretty fast during the choruses, your heart might even race. You'll probably dig the bass tone. The solo is gnarly too.
Written and produced by The Kevins.
This is only a demo version recorded off of one microphone in Amit Basran's house, so if it sounds bad blame that. One day we'll get a studio sesh. One day...
lyrics
Didn't think I'd find out,
Didn't think I'd figure you out,
Did you think I'd just turn a blind eye?
Let me whisper into your ear,
Tell you the things you don't want to hear,
Oh, you don't want me here.
I guess I had it coming, should've turned around.
I guess I had it coming, should've turned around.
So don't bring me down, you bring me down,
Don't bring me down, you bring me down,
You bring me down.
Didn't think I'd understand,
I've lost my sleight of hand,
You're just someone I can't.
Why you gotta be so cruel?
Tear me in half, drown in laughter,
The morning after.
I guess I had it coming, should've turned around.
I guess I had it coming, should've turned around.
So don't bring me down, you bring me down,
Don't bring me down, you bring me down,
You bring me down.
So don't bring me down, you bring me down,
Don't bring me down, you bring me down,
You bring me down.
